 MARVAL, O'FARRELL & MAIRAL 's law practice covers a wide range of legal services for domestic and foreign clients; it also has close contacts with leading foreign law firms. MARVAL, O'FARRELL & MAIRAL is the Argentine member of Lex Mundi, the world's leading association of independent law firms comprised of more than 160 members. Membership in Lex Mundi is highly selective, as firms are chosen to be the exclusive representative for their respective jurisdictions. Lex Mundi's members provide for the exchange of professional information about local and global practice and the development of law, facilitating and disseminating communications among them and improving the members' abilities to serve the needs of their respective clients. One of our partners was a Director for the period 1997-2001, Secretary of the Executive Committee during 1999-2000, President of this Committee for the period 2000-2002 and Chair Emeritus for the period 2001-2002.

 MARVAL, O'FARRELL & MAIRAL is associated with the well-known Brazilian law firm Demarest e Almeida, and works together with this firm on many transactions with common clients. As a consequence of the association, clients in Argentina and Brazil receive legal advice locally from high qualified attorneys from the two law firms regarding both Argentine and Brazilian law. In addition, the two firms have specialists in MERCOSUR rules which allows them to advise their clients on regional projects from a single contact point. Our joint aim is to provide efficiency and responsiveness to our international clients' needs.

Ad hoc teams comprising lawyers from both firms regularly provide advice to clients in their investments in telecommunications, energy and infrastructure, mergers and acquisitions, tax structure planning, capital market and project finance transactions.
