Ricardo Ramírez Calvo is a partner of Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal since 1997 having joined the firm in 1992. He specializes in corporate, petroleum, gas and constitutional law.Within his area of specialization, he has advised on privatizations, M&As, project financing, stock, negotiable obligations and securitization issues.Between 1984 and 1987 he worked in the legal department of KPMG, in the law firm Zavalía Bunge Abogados between 1988 and 1992, as an advisor to the Minister of Agriculture, Farming, Industry and Commerce in the province of Corrientes in 1992, and in the law firm Koerner, Wenzel, Bausback, in Aschaffenburg, Germany, in 1992.He graduated from the Universidad de Buenos Aires with a degree in law in 1988, and since 1993 has been an assistant professor of Constitutional Law in the Law Faculty of the Universidad de Buenos Aires. He was also an assistant professor of Constitutional Law at the Universidad de Belgrano between 1996 and 1999 and he is author of the book The Sources of the Argentine Constitution and has produced several papers on matters within his area of specialization.At present he is a member of the Colegio de Abogados de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, the Asociación Argentina de Derecho Constitucional, the International Association of Constitutional Law and the Supreme Court Historical Society.
