Juan M. Diehl Moreno joined Marval, O'Farrell & Mairal in 1997 and is a partner of the firm since 2006. He specializes in commercial, banking, foreign exchange control and capital markets law.His professional practice is mainly focused on local and international financial and commercial transactions including M&A, public debt issues, bilateral and syndicated loans, debt restructuring, structuring of trusts, foreign exchange markets and a wide range of business contracts, advising major companies and banks.Before joining the firm he worked for the law firm Carregal & Funes de Rioja (1989-1997), and at Sidley Austin Brown & Wood, New York, as foreign associate (2000-2001).Mr. Diehl Moreno qualified as a lawyer at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina in 1993, and attained a Masters of Business Law degree (thesis qualified magna cum laude) at the Universidad Austral, Buenos Aires, in 1996, and a Masters of Laws degree (with honors) at the Northwestern University, Chicago, U.S.A., in 2001.Between 1998 and 1999 he was an assistant professor of Commercial Law I at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina.He has lectured in several conferences and has published various articles on his field of expertise.He is a member of the Colegio Público de Abogados de la Capital Federal and the Colegio de Abogados de San Isidro.
