Gonzalo J. Fontana

Dr. Fontana is a partner of Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal since February 2000, where he specializes in litigation and commercial and corporate law.

Within this area of specialization, he advises mainly in judicial and arbitral proceedings and gives general advice in matters related to commercial law.

Before joining the firm he was a member of the firm of Lanfranco & Mariño from 1989 until 2000, becoming a partner of such firm in 1998, and previously he was with Alconada Aramburu, Crescia, Spangenberg & Asociados from 1986 to 1989.

He graduated as a lawyer from the Universidad del Salvador in 1988, and attended to various post graduate courses, amongst which are the following: Especialización en Concursos y Quiebras in the Universidad Notarial Argentina, 1993-1994; Sociedades Anónimas y su Interpretación Jurisprudencial, Universidad Notarial Argentina, in 1996 and Especialización en Derecho Procesal Civil y Comercial at the Fundación de Estudios Superiores e Investigación in 1997.
He is a member of the Colegio Público de Abogados de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.
